It’s awesome that boys are getting into a girl-centered show. It’s okay for adults to like kids’ cartoons, too.
It is not awesome when dudes are all “This is a manly pony show for bros, no girls allowed!” It is the opposite of awesome that when I Google “My Little Pony,” pony torture rape fanfiction is just two clicks away. That’s what little kids web-searching their favorite cartoon would stumble on.
Children’s TV is like a playground. As an adult, you can gaze at it in nostalgia once in a while — but don’t hog the swingset or leave used condoms in the sandbox.
